The Depot Restaurant opened August 27, 1997. It is modeled after the Denver/Rio Grande railroad station built in Palmer Lake in the 1880's.
Palmer Lake is considered one of the best areas for train watchers and photographers of all ages.This rail line is also known as the famous Joint Line.
The Joint Line was used by the Rio Grande and Santa Fe Railroads between Denver and Pueblo Colorado.
